This fundraiser is designed to let your group make money with a minimum of administrative duties. It was designed by a former Girl Scout leader and Den mother with lots of youth group fund raising experience. One of the worst parts of fundraising was the sorting for distribution for each purchase. If you provide clearly written names on each order, we will bag and label each shirt. All you do after you get the shirts is pass them out!

Tips for a successful fundraiser

1. Set A Start and Stop Date. Announce your fundraiser ahead of time and let everyone know your start and stop dates for taking orders. We will accept orders for 1 week after the stop date for late orders. We suggest about a 2 week range of time for order taking.

2. Let your buyers know what the money will be used for. Often people will buy to help a group just because they think the cause is worthy. If you do not tell them why you want the money, they might not buy. Have a clear concise reason for the fundraiser.

3. Set your price. We recommend about $12.00 to $15.00 per shirt. You may want to charge more for 3XL and 4XL. Your cost will be $2.00 more (see below)

4. Collect funds when you take the order. Hold on to the money until your group is ready to order. When you are ready to place your order, pay for all shirts at once with a Visa, MasterCard, American Express, or Church / Company / Organizational Check. You simply keep the difference. If everyone collects in the same way, it will make your record keeping and administration much easier.

5. Set goals. Decide ahead of time how many shirts your group wants to sell based on your own specifics. Try to keep it realistic while at the same time providing a challenge for the group.

6. Set up a selling booth or table. If your church or organization has events on different nights of the week and events before and after church, set up a booth or table so members can stop by and view the fundraising materials at their convenience.

7. Consider prizes or rewards to top sellers. It can surely be something very simple, but some sellers like the spirit of a contest. Make if fun.

8. Keep copies of your order forms. Do not send us your only copy of forms. Not only can email, mail or faxes get damaged or lost, you will want to have them to refer to later.
